Lomography has been at the forefront of the analogue revolution for decades. Starting in 1992 with some Viennese students falling in love with the aesthetic of a particular Soviet camera (the iconic LC-A) - they founded a movement and a company that would introduce a new generation to the joys of plastic cameras and experimental film. Periodically innovating new cameras for existing formats - and sometimes bringing back formats specially for their cameras! - they are vibrant and creative

For something a bit different you can't go wrong with Metropolis. It offers an step backed feel that doesn't look quite like anything else. A firm favourite of mine, especially when shooting in subdued lighting.

Desaturated and fun
If you're wanting to shoot something a little different this is fun. I wouldn't shoot any portraits with it but it's great if you want to suck the vibrancy out of everything.

Love the muted colours!
The muted colours look great, nice and moody but with plenty of life too. it.

so dramatic. amazing for a "film" look
I loved this film. It gave my photos such an extra edge. I think it looks specially good in scenes with sun and shade, on a bright day. Some of the shadiest bits were too dark, the only down side of the film imo

Needs the right Subject.
It's not that this is a bad film, it's just an acquired tasted. This was actually my second roll of Metropolis, my first one had a faulty cartridge and would not feed properly (bought from a different retailer).
I think, if you're looking for that retro 70s, poverty vibe then this is the film for you, otherwise, its lack of red shades just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad I gave it a go though.
