Delta 400 is a modern emulsion from Ilford - created with finer grain to provide sharp black and white images with excellent contrast.
While this means the 35mm film is slightly less forgiving of wide exposure latitudes, the professional results when you nail the exposure will blow you away!
When you buy your camera film from us we can ship it across the UK, Europe, USA, New Zealand, Australia and Canada (more countries planned soon!) So buy your Ilford Delta 400 35mm Film today and dive back into the fun of 35mm film photography!

I'm very impressed with the results of a roll I shot in mixed lighting - good but not overbearing contrast and very fine grain for a 400-speed film, perfect for the street photography I was doing at the time. The example photos were from a roll developed in Bellini Ecofilm at 1+1 dilution and I think that was a good choice.

Sharp, fine grain, lovely but not forgiving
A very nice modern film with a clean look - without being clinical.
It can be less forgiving on over/under exposure compared to HP5 but gives lovely results when treated right.
I tend to pull one stop (200 ISO) and develop in D23 15 minutes. Harsh developers can make it grainy in my experience. DD-X is "best" but is pretty expensive to use.
Nice Film - but not quite as nice as last time I used it.
So this is the second time I have tried this film. I was really impressed with my first roll. For some reason the scans from this roll were a little more contrasty and grainy than last time. I did use a different lab last time, so maybe they used different chemistry, or perhaps I was shooting more challenging subjects.

Worth the slight extra cost over HP5
Love this film stock. I was religiously on HP5 but this has changed my mind completely. Beautiful fine grain and still super versatile.
I'm usually use FP4 / HP5, but I recently shot some Delta 400 on a trip to Norwich cathedral and am really pleased with the results, especially considering the lighting (these were taken handheld). I've also used this for misty morning shoots, so I think this will be my fast(er) file of choice going forward.
